Emergency Department
Madison County Memorial Hospital has a Emergency Department providing emergency services to communities in Madison County 24-hours a day, seven days a week. The patient care areas are designed and specially equipped to care for medical emergencies for patients of all ages.
- For patients needing major trauma and specialized services, the MCMH Emergency Department is integrated with the county Emergency Medical Services System. This provides transportation for patients requiring specialized care or admission.
Our Emergency Department treats over 800 patients each month. Our department physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners and nursing personnel have received training in emergency response such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
We’ve been
caring for generations of Madison County residents for over 50 years, meeting
your needs with current medical services, enhanced by compassion and care.
We continue to make process improvements and are committed to serving as your
community Emergency Department, treating each patient as an individual, with
respect and dignity.
Due to limited space, safety and
privacy issues, Emergency Department physicians and nurses may allow one visitor
per patient (immediate family only) in the treatment area. A parent will be
allowed to accompany a minor child throughout the Emergency Department visit.
